Aaron Whallon Wolkind, 37, of Newark, DE, woke up to more than a dozen FBI agents in riot gear ordering him out of his house over a loudspeaker before dawn Friday morning, the outlet reports citing Wolkind's attorney Jonathon Moseley.
Whether or not Wolkind spoke to federal agents about the Jan. 6 Capitol riot has been a "subject about a lot of speculation," Moseley told Daily Voice. There has been a lot of conflicting information about his role .
"It looks like they wouldn’t have raided his house if he were cooperating with the government, unless somehow that went bad or they changed their position," the attorney said.
"If he was cooperating with the FBI, he is not now."
Wolkind and his girlfriend were both handcuffed, but neither were arrested or charged. FBI agents seized Wolkind's computer devices and phones, included an old broken phone, Moseley said.
Moseley speculated the raid was an attempt to gather information into in the case of Zach Rehl, the self-proclaimed Proud Boys president, who was being held for his role in the Jan. 6 Capitol Riot, Moseley said.
